Dream Theater

On Friday February 25th 2005, Dream Theater wrapped up recording on their latest album. Mixing will be begin on Monday February 28th and the record will be delivered to the label in Mid-March. A release is expected for sometime around May/June through Atlantic Records.

Dream Theater began writing and recording their latest album last November at the world famous Hit Factory studios in New York City. (everybody from Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Britney Spears, U2, Mariah Carey, REM, etc. etc. have all recorded at the legendary studio) As has been reported in the media several weeks ago, the famous recording studio is closing down upon the completion of Dream Theater's recording session.

This album will hold the distinction of being the VERY LAST album ever recorded at the Hit Factory in NYC. (the first was Stevie Wonder's "Songs In The Key Of Life") After the Dream Theater sessions ended on Friday night, the lights were turned off and doors were locked to the world famous studio - ending an era in the music industry....

(The title of my Blog is the title of their first album. The only one that I don't listen to, first lead singer just doesn't do it for me..)

Godfather - the game

All I can say so far, is wow. This game looks amazing. Check out the intro movie here. And yes that is really Marlon Brando's voice. They were lucky to get him to record dialog before his death. Almost all the main actors, sans Al Pacino, has signed on. Check out a couple of famous guys reliving the past, and see it translated into the video game world here. For a more in depth article at what the game is about, check out this link.

Look at my Asteroid

Just read a very cool, and scary article about an asteroid heading towards earth. It will come so close that it will be visible to the naked eye. It will look like a fast moving star in the night sky, and will only be visible in Europe, Africa, and western Asia. It will come within 22,600 mile of the Earth, and after several observations of it, they have determined that we are in no danger of being hit. The article can be found here.

Angie

Most of you know my dear friend Angie, whom I work with at Fridays. Well she recently did a shoot for Orange Julius. It is supposed to be a commercial, however it does look like a training video. You can check out the teaser here. The password is teaser. For those of you who don't know her, she is the young woman in the middle.
She text messaged me last night that she landed another commercial. I am not sure what it is for, but I will update you when I find out. I am very proud of her, she's been going to all kinds of auditions. Way to go Ang!
And on a side note, I hope to have a picture from the "Night of the Living Dead" play that I was in with Angie up here soon. Bloody goodness for all!

MST3K

Woot! The lineup for the box set Volume 7 has been released. Care of the MST .website:

Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Volume 7 due out in April, will contain (hold on to your hat):

episode 407- THE KILLER SHREWS (with short: JUNIOR RODEO DAREDEVILS)
episode 408- HERCULES UNCHAINED
episode 410- HERCULES AGAINST THE MOON MEN
episode 816- PRINCE OF SPACE
A bonus feature will be ASSIGNMENT: VENEZUELA, the short originally MSTed for the ill-fated CD-ROM project and which was never shown on television. That's all we have for now, more updates as soon as we get them.

Prince of Space!!!! One of my favorites. I cannot wait for this set to come out.
